Andrei B (trading as ForkTube) is the data controller for personal data collected through ForkTube. We collect only what we need to run the service.

What we collect and why

  • Account details — email, display name, and sign-in data from Google or Apple if you use them. To create and secure your account (contract).
  • Your content — ratings, reviews, likes and videos you add. To show them on ForkTube (contract).
  • Subscription status — whether you have Plus and its renewal dates. To give you Plus features (contract).
  • Technical data — IP address and basic logs kept by our hosting. For security and fraud prevention (legitimate interests).

We don't run ads, sell data, or use tracking or analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for selling Plus, managing subscriptions, payments, tax and invoicing. Paddle collects payment details directly.
  • Service providers — hosting and database (Lovable Cloud), sign-in (Google, Apple), and an AI provider that scores video titles (no personal data is sent).
  • YouTube — videos and thumbnails load from YouTube, which may set its own cookies when you play a video.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some providers process data outside the UK/EEA. We rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, reviews and likes are deleted straight away. Billing records are kept by Paddle as required by tax law.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. You can delete your account yourself from your account settings. For anything else email hello@forkcast.app — we reply within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

ForkTube is not for children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and database rules stop users from changing each other's data.

Cookies

We only use essential storage. See our cookie policy.
