Community guidelines

ForkTube works because reviews are honest and useful. Here's how we keep it that way.

The rating scale

Averages are calculated from every visible rating. Videos with fewer than 3 ratings are marked as not yet representative.

House rules

1. 1

Review the video, not the person

Critique ideas, production and content. No harassment, slurs or personal attacks on creators or other reviewers.

2. 2

   Actually watch it

Rate what you've seen. Reviews written without watching mislead everyone.

3. 3

   Warn about spoilers

If your review reveals a twist or ending, say so at the top.

4. 4

   No spam or self-promotion

Don't post links, ads, or reviews of your own videos to boost ratings.

5. 5

   One honest rating each

You get one rating per video. Change it any time — but don't game it with extra accounts.

Reports & removals

Use “Report” on any review that breaks these rules. Moderators can hide a review — its author will still see it with a removal notice, and hidden ratings don't count toward averages. Moderators can restore reviews removed by mistake.
